Taptile Scoops ‘Best Innovation Award’

Taptile, the unique bathroom and kitchen lighting control system has scooped ‘Best Innovation’ at the Tile Association’s Awards.

Taptile beat off competition from fellow shortlisters Genesis APS International, Mapei UK and Nicobond to win the award, which was presented to brand manager, Allen Hartley, at a glitzy, Las Vegas-themed evening at the Birmingham Hilton on Saturday, 21st April.

Allen commented,
"We were absolutely thrilled to win the TTA's award for Best Innovation. Taptile is still finding its way within the tiling sector, so recognition of the product from such an established and well-respected industry organisation means the world to us."

"We enjoyed a wonderful evening in the company of some incredibly warm and inspirational figures. The award will provide Taptile with a great platform upon which to build greater awareness and success within the tiling industry – an invaluable opportunity for which we are very grateful to the TTA for."

Meanwhile, Lesley Day, Executive Officer of Tile Association said,
"We present the award for 'Best Innovation' to a company or product that has the ability to make a genuinely long-lasting impact upon the tiling sector. Taptile – with both its kitchen and bathroom variants – fulfils this criteria with outstanding ease and the judging committee were enormously impressed by how effortlessly Taptile's technology offers designers, retailers and installers the opportunity for added value in the form of uniting lighting and tiling."

Taptile, which previewed Taptile Kitchen at KBB in March, allows touch-sensitive, wireless control of multiple lighting circuits, sound, vision and in the kitchen, even appliances. It is 100% waterproof – allowing the Taptile panel to be fitted into even wet areas such as a shower enclosure or beside a bath tub. Within the kitchen, Taptile also offers the advantage of being completely retrofittable.
